Welcome to the Keremeos - Cawston Sportsmen Association website. We are a not-for-profit society focused on the conservation of fish and wildlife. We are located in the Lower Similkameen Valley in the Southern Interior of British Columbia. Our goal is to bring together individuals to actively participate in the conservation of fish and wildlife, and to provide the resources and necessary education to promote and preserve hunting, fishing, the shooting sports, and related outdoor recreational activities.
We meet regularly on the last Thursday of the month, and also have a variety of weekly and monthly activities, as well as annual events. Our monthly meetings often feature guest speakers who are experts on topics such as wildlife conservation & outdoor recreation. We encourage all members to attend, and welcome any guests who are interested in learning more about our club. NO NATIONAL PARKAs a conservation-focused organization, we understand the desire to preserve and protect wildlife and habitats. Our members contribute countless hours to every year to ensuring our natural resources are protected and well looked after. However, a national park would mean many seniors and those with mobility issues could not enjoy the back country. It would also eliminate hunting opportunities within the area of the proposed park boundaries, and restrict domestic animals to only being 'on leash'.
